L D Brown has teamed up with long term collaborator and storyteller E E Watson in order to unsettle the public and to generally make a nuisance of themselves.
Two abhorrent alter-egos (The Grey Lady and The “Director”) tell ghost and horror stories; some traditional, most Cumbrian, all vaguely horrifying.
They recently performed their first hour-long show:”The Hands of Murnau” for three nights over the Halloween period to much acclaim. Some very nice people said some very nice things about them.
“Luke is a fantastic writer, his well-crafted stories are often disturbing and spooky with great imagery.”
Ann (The Poet) Grant
“My children were simply transfixed.” Audience member at “Hands of Murnau”.
“…the atmosphere was amazing. The package was the winner, night walk with Rangers searching for bats, hot food and being scared senseless by tales of Cumbrian ghosts. Emma and Luke were amazing, period costume and in character…”
Neil Winder, Head Ranger for NT Langdales.
If you should like to have an evening of traditional ghost stories and horror stories of their own creation, you may book these two figures for your event. Whether it is a Hallowe’en party, a birthday, or a wedding if you are weird, then L D Brown and E E Watson will organise a truly unique event.
No two performances are ever the same.
These events can be family-friendly but they don’t have to be.
