Luke Brown will be performing at the wonderful Sprint Mill, Saturday 15th July. This event is to celebrate the publication of Curlew Calling; an anthology of poems, prose and images by various contributors. The Curlew is an iconic British bird which is quite threatened these days; its distinct call is synonymous with the beautiful wild places and wet lands of coastal Britain. If you purchase this book, you will be supporting, directly, Curlew Conservation.
This event has been organized by Karen Lloyd; the editor of this book. She’s quite a big deal and a fantastic poet. Here’s her blog: http://karenlloyd-writer.co.uk/
Jonathan Humble and Simon Sylvester will also be there; two of my very favourite writers, and if you’ve not already seen them, you should.
